Veterinarian

Dr. Bhatia graduated in 1986 from the College of Veterinary Medicine in PAU India. He immigrated to Canada in 1997 and completed the required examinations in 1999. With his expertise across different veterinary clinics in Alberta & Vancouver his unparalleled compassion for animals strived to open Cypress St. Animal Hospital in 2002. Dr. Bhatia is passionate about continuing education, each year he completes 50-70 hours of educational work. His professional interests include small animal internal medicine, Dermatology, emergency medicine, and critical care. Admired by the staff and clients of Cypress St. for his passion, care and concern for animals and their health, more than 20 years later he still set’s an example for those around him. The Mastered Administration of Dr. Tej Paul Bhatia has been rewarding him shining colours as Cypress Street Animal hospital has been selected as the “Best Vet Clinic” (Georgia Straight ) continuously since the last 5 years. He has also been voted as the “Best Veterinarian” in 2018 (Georgia Straight). In his spare time he loves watching sports like Cricket, Field hockey, Ice hockey and also he is a keen follower of spirituality & has passionate devotion in religious themes.

Dr. Joseph Martinez grew up on a farm, and became a vegetarian, naturalist. He has a holistic minded approach to healing and health. He is working with us as Lead Surgeon with his deep interest in Dental Surgeries, Exotic Pet Surgeries, Eye Surgeries & Internal medicine. His compassion are exotics and rabbits as well as holistic medicine. He is a reputed & respectable veterinarian who brings to our hospital 30 years of experience, including 10 years as the previous owner of Little paws animal clinic, Richmond. He is a valuable asset to our team and together we strive to be the best in the field. You will see him Tues , & Sun at our practice.

Dr. Mandeep Sharma joined our practice in 2020. Dr. Sharma has a love for animals and being able to help them, which is what led her to the veterinary profession in the first place. She finds great satisfaction at her work and has a desire to learn more about the veterinary profession. She completed her Masters in Surgery in 2010 at GADVASU, India. She has a great interest in her field of Surgery & Internal Medicine.

She assists in development and implementation of firm policies and procedures, manages and oversees the administration in guidance with the Clinic Manager. Calm and composed in stressful situations and capable of reducing customer dissatisfaction through acknowledgement, decisive communication and focused solutions.and has a fur baby named Ace.

Vinav is a passionate Veterinary Technician who has been treating all species of pets for more than 12 years. He brings in the expertise of comfortable assisting with medical procedures and treatments and has been performing surgeries individually as a veterinarian in India. He loves spending time and playing with Oscar.

Arsh is responsible and compassionate Veterinary Technician with 4+ years of experience in an extremely fast paced and busy veterinary clinic.He has efficiently mastered multiple medical and behaviour techniques and assisted in various surgeries. He has got magical powers when it comes to anxious pets as they are so calm with him which makes him in demand by pet owners. He loves travelling and exploring the world, his favourite pastime is hiking mountains and his love for painting is astonishing as he is graced with creativity.

She has been working as a wildlife Veterinarian in a Conservation Institution in Bali, Indonesia and aims to be the Practice Veterinarian in the future. She brings in with her a plethora of knowledge as she is pursuing Diploma in Fish, wildlife and Recreation at BCIT and her love for animals is amazing.She is writing her exams to equal her skills of practice in Canada.
